My guest today is an expert on the science behind feeling pressure and performing under stress. Sian Beilock is a renowned Psychology Professor and the current President of Barnard College, as well as the author of multiple books, including Choke: What the Secrets of the Brain Reveal About Getting It Right When You Have To.
Sian works with educators, business leaders, athletic coaches, and those involved in public policy, including serving on a National Research Council committee on decision-making and stress. She studies the many brain and body factors influencing all types of performance: from test-taking to public speaking to perfecting your golf swing.
I had the pleasure of talking with Sian, and I was blown anyway by her wisdom. I know what it’s like to choke under pressure. We’ve all been there. And while I wish I’d had this conversation years ago, I feel fortunate that I can apply what I learned going forward.
Join me on Episode 976 to learn how to STOP choking under pressure with renowned psychologist Sian Beilock!
