The Magnetic Secret To Build A Successful Online Business
There’s this one small thing that you can do differently today, that will magnetically start to build a successful online business for you. This changed Dean Holland’s life 13 years ago, and it’s just happened again to him. Time to share it right here, with you…
“Something happened to me yesterday and it reminded me of something that I also did a couple of years ago, and it’s really refreshing.
So I want to actually share what this is, because I think this is going to help you get better results in your business.
For me it was one of those things that I did years ago, that finally allowed me to start seeing success. And actually…
Yesterday, I Did It Again, And It Feels Amazing!
And immediately, your audience relates with you, resonates with you, and supports you. And that’s what I want for you in your successful online business too.
So I want to share something that happened yesterday, and it really took me back. I remember when I was first starting to try and make money online, way, way back now, like 13 years ago.
There was a four-year period where…
I Just Completely Messed Up
I was buying and trying everything. Loaded up five credit cards, two bank loans, got over $60K’s worth of debt by the time I was in my mid-twenties.
But the biggest thing about that – one of the biggest lessons I learned – was during that whole time, because I was so afraid of the mess I got myself into, I didn’t tell anyone. So like, nobody knew.
It wasn’t until I got my first mentor, joined my first coaching program and got my first mentor… This guy said to me (he’s now a good friend, Alex…) he said to me, “Dean, it’s time that you were open, transparent and honest, and shared exactly what you’ve been going through with the rest of the world?”
This was a really scary thought at the time. Because I think, particularly in the ‘make money online’ space and the ‘home business’ space, everybody conveys their success. Everyone shares their wins. Nobody generally, especially 10 years ago…
No One Was Ever Talking About Failure
Nobody was sharing how bad things were for them. Nobody was sharing how much they were failing, right?
Nowadays, it’s a lot more widely spoken about, which is great. But still to this day, there’s like a stigma attached to it.
There’s like this weird feeling about telling people I’m struggling, or things are not going right, or my business isn’t growing, or I’m not making any money, or whatever that downturn is.
And so, in 2008, when I wrote my very first blog post… And rather interestingly, I started my first blog on a free WordPress hosted site at wordpress.com.
So if you actually go deanholland.wordpress.com, you can actually see the very first blog post I published online. I think it was October 28th or October 18th (one of those I think) 2008… And…
I Was Finally Honest
I said, I’ve been trying all this time, I’ve made nothing, my first goal is to make a dollar. And y’know, from that point onward, things felt very different. Because I’ve got this massive load off my shoulders, this huge weight off my back.
It was like, oh my god, this horrible dirty secret I’ve been carrying all this time about how bad things are for me… it’s finally out there. I don’t have to pretend anymore.
I wasn’t pretending to be successful, I just wasn’t being honest about how much I was failing. And so that’s kind of my message today.
Yesterday, not not to the same degree, but yesterday… I’m a part of a private inner circle mastermind group that I pay a lot of money to be in, and we have this private Facebook group… So yesterday, it was kind of the same.
I shared, obviously not like it was in 2008. But I was just completely transparent and open and honest about how the last year has been in my business. I spoke about all the changes that we’ve made and…
All The Pain That We Went Through…
…during those changes. And y’know, again it felt like, oh my god, it feels good to open up to people. Do you know what I mean?
I think this is why people go to counselling. I obviously don’t want that to be misinterpreted, but you know what I mean. To be open and honest is relieving. It feels good, it can do you good, it can be therapeutic – it feels great.
And it can do you a lot of good, when you apply that to build a successful online business. So that’s what I want to share. Everybody’s so guarded. Everybody’s so unwilling, or scared, or afraid to be open and just to share – like, this is what I’m going through, this is how I’m feeling, this is the pain I’m experiencing.
The Secret Magnetism That Builds A Successful Online Business
You’re more than willing to share your wins. So also be willing to share the pains. Because most people are going through pain. And you’ll be surprised how magnetic that makes you to people, especially those that you generally want to appeal to.
This is what happened early on in my business in 2008, when I first opened up and I laid all the cards on the table. All of a sudden everyone that was in a similar position to me was like,
“Oh My God, This Guy Knows…!”
“Dean, you know what I’m going through! …You’re telling my story.” And everybody was magnetised to me.
And so, as I started to continue to document and share the good the bad and the ugly – share the pains as well as the wins, as I started having them – my market was magnetically attracted to me.
I formed these strong connections with my market place, to those that I wanted to appeal to. And my business started to really take off from there.
I feel that if you’re willing to step out there and do that for your successful online business, you’ll be so much better off, and you’ll feel so great about it.
So I hope you enjoyed that message. I hope that comes as something at least to get you to think about being willing to do it. Because…
I Assure You – If You Make That Post Today…
…on Facebook, on social media, on your blog, on YouTube – wherever it may be. If you open up and say, y’know, this is me…
This is who I am. This is what I’ve been going through. These are my goals and my aspirations. This is what I’ve gone through in the past, and I’m going to keep sharing openly, and freely, and honestly. And hopefully in what I’m sharing, it can help you.
If you were to step out there and do that, you’d be surprised I’m sure, of what would actually come of it to build a successful online business.
Hopefully you enjoyed that. So have a great rest of your day. I’m here at Internet Profits HQ. Time to get out, crush the day and smash these goals. Thank you very much. And until “Call To Action: The One Thing You Must Do In Your Business At All Times“, tomorrow’s episode of The Drive, take care.
