So let’s do this… Good morning! Welcome to The Drive. Dean here on the way to Internet Profits headquarters. And today I want to share with you three traits that are commonly found within online entrepreneurs and multi millionaires.

Aside from my company doing very well now, I am very lucky to know, and be mentored by, and be friends with, many multi millionaire online entrepreneurs. Some even on their way to billion dollar valuations.

And I notice some very common traits amongst these people. And so I want to share them with you, because if you can…

Instil These Habits Of Successful People Into Your Life

Then obviously when you model the traits of highly successful people, there is a high probability that these traits are contributors towards their success and the things they achieve in life.

So, trait number one. Some of these you’re gonna have heard of, and some you’ll think are probably not so obvious. But trait number one is to read books.

Now a lot of people don’t seem to like reading. And to be honest, I used to be the same. That is until I got passionate about my subject, until I really, truly found my passion.

And now… Why do I go to work so early? Why do I wake up at 5:00 a.m. now? Because I’m passionate to get here, and do some of what I want to do, y’know.

I go to bed now between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. to read for 30 minutes. Why? Because I’m passionate. I’m looking forward to getting into bed. And knowledge ultimately is power.

Was It Warren Buffett Who Said, “The More You Learn, The More You Earn”?

But I want to just put a bit of a caveat on this. Don’t just read aimlessly. Don’t just pick up any old book and just read it. Study the things that will likely make the most impact and difference to where you are today. Immerse yourself in your subject matter.

For example, if you’re struggling with traffic generation and you know that, with everything else that you have, that is gonna be a key to you succeeding.

Then of course, study and read books on advertising practices and traffic generation, okay? So that’s the first of these habits of successful people: Read books.

Now My Second Trait… This One’s A Bit Different

This one is one that you probably wouldn’t necessarily think of. But, keep yourself well hydrated. Drink more water than you’d normally do every day. I can’t begin to explain…

I never used to hardly drink any water. Let me just make this clear. You can survive for a long time without food. You cannot survive without water. But strangely, too many people go throughout their day not thinking about it.

Some people will pick up a glass of juice maybe once in the day, and then have a can of soda or a bottle of Diet Coke or Cola or something like that. And people aren’t drinking enough water, y’know.

You should be drinking a LOT more water every single day. And the amount that you should be drinking for some of you, this includes myself…

You’re Going To Have To Force It Down Yourself

Almost set a schedule! For me, I now have this one litre bottle on my desk, and with the help of my assistant and my own thinking sometimes, when I’m not so busy and in the zone… I’m filling that up like every 90 minutes.

And so I know I’m drinking enough water. Some days I forget, yes. But do I notice the difference when I don’t drink enough…? Absolutely!

For me, where the biggest difference comes in is… I feel really sluggish in the morning. I struggle to jump up out of bed It’s a real effort!

Okay… so read books is the first trait. Make sure you’re consuming enough water, is the second of these habits of successful people.

It’s Made A Tremendous Difference!

Is… to get up earlier. Get up early! To me… and I know some people are morning people, some people in night time people. But honestly I feel, because I used to be a night time person, I used to get up like midday and work through to like 4 in the morning.

But for me now, I’ve managed to shift that, and adjust that. And I can tell you categorically that, if you can adjust yourself to getting up early, getting the blood pumping, around your body, and dominating your day…

You can have more done between the hours of like 6 a.m. and noon, than you can between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. That is my true findings, and my real belief. And there’s a…

BONUS: Fourth Habit Of Highly Effective People…

…which kind of goes hand-in-hand with what I’ve just said. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise in the morning. Get that blood pumping.

I see all these successful entrepreneurs, all these multi millionaires… They don’t waste their time in bed. They get up early and exercise. And they dominate their day before most people have even had their first cup of coffee in the morning.

So… Read books, Drink plenty of water every day – stay well hydrated. Get up early. And as a bonus trait, get some exercise – at least 30 minutes of exercise every single morning, and get that blood pumping.

    So great to see reading top of your list! Research has shown that reading for pleasure as an adolescent is the single most reliable indicator of future success… even bigger than social class, income, race or parents’ education. Whatever age you are when you pick up a book, it can take you far.

      I used to read a lot early in my life, but sadly not so much now – not fiction books anyway. I do enjoy audio books now though.
