<p>&#8220;What is happening? How are you doing? Good morning, of course. In the new Range Rover, on the way to Internet Profits HQ on this fine morning.</p>
<p>Busy day of coaching today. I&#8217;ve actually started a new 12 month, year long coaching. I only opened it up to a small number of people just recently.</p>
<p>The way in which that program begins is that I have a 30 minute session with each individual, as a part of the group. So they have 30 minutes one-on-one time with me on the webinar.</p>
<p>And everyone else is welcome to listen in if they want to, whilst I find out more about where that person&#8217;s at. What they&#8217;re currently doing and any sticking points right now. And give them immediate implementable advice.</p>

<p>That started yesterday. And today&#8217;s the second day of that. We&#8217;ll round everybody up today in that.</p>
<h2>#1 Problem When Starting Content Marketing For Beginners</h2>
<p>I want to share with you something that came out multiple times yesterday, in speaking with different people about where they&#8217;re at in their business. This is in relation to the content they create and how they create it.</p>
<p>Now this is applicable whether it&#8217;s content that you&#8217;re just producing, say, for your blog, or for a YouTube channel, or for social media. This is likewise applicable if you&#8217;re creating content for advertising. Like, paid ads on Facebook and other platforms. And I want you to think about this as well.</p>
<p>You see, a very common issue many people face is feeling like they don&#8217;t have a lot of uniqueness or value to give, that could exceed or be more valuable to the marketplace than other people.</p>
<p>And this especially happens &#8211; and I know this happened to me a long time ago &#8211; when you&#8217;re in the early stages of your business. It is a common theme or feeling for you to think, <em>&#8220;Well I&#8217;m not really getting anywhere right now. I don&#8217;t have any results to speak of just yet. So why would anyone listen to me?&#8221;</em></p>

<p>Y&#8217;know, because there are others online &#8211; there are many people who are now getting great results. And when you are not yet there, and you compare yourself to others who are getting results&#8230; You can almost put yourself into a &#8216;shell&#8217; and feel like, <em>&#8220;I&#8217;m not getting results. So why would anyone listen to me? What could I possibly say that would be worth anyone listening to?&#8221;</em></p>
<p>And so, because of that feeling, you end up not actually producing anything. Not pushing yourself to make that first video, to place that paid ad, or to just put yourself out there online &#8211; because of those feelings and fears.</p>
<h2>Unique Selling Proposition Examples From Clients</h2>
<p>When I was speaking to multiple people yesterday, who are in the earlier stages, the same thing kept coming out. I was always able to identify an area for them that is their uniqueness, and their entry point for their messaging to start conveying&#8230; I&#8217;ll give you a couple of these unique selling proposition examples&#8230;</p>
<p>There was one lady I spoke with yesterday who is currently in a full time job, like most people are. Probably everyone pretty much is that&#8217;s starting a business. Most people are in a job or are retired.</p>

<p>But this lady was in a job, in a particular employment position whereby she felt she was unable at this stage to get herself on video, actually on camera. Because that would then mean she would have to notify her employer, and that may not be a good idea at this stage.</p>
<p>So she saw that potentially as a negative: <em>&#8220;Well, I can&#8217;t get on video. So is that going to be a drawback? Because everyone tells me you have to get on video because that&#8217;s how you build trust.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>And yeah, although there&#8217;s aspects to that which are correct. Y&#8217;know, getting on video can build a connection and let people see you and know you&#8217;re real. But that doesn&#8217;t mean you have to.</p>
<p>So actually, we were able to spin that unique selling proposition example in a way that made her uniqueness.</p>
<h2>How To Spin A Personal Unique Selling Proposition</h2>
<p>For example, I said <em>&#8220;Well, rather than hide from that and not discuss it, and just be this person that seemingly isn&#8217;t showing themselves, putting that potential opportunity of doubt into the viewers and marketplace&#8230;&#8221;</em></p>

<p>And have them say, <em>&#8220;Why does she never show herself? What has she got to hide?&#8221;</em> Instead, actually take it on, and say&#8230;</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Look, I&#8217;m building my business in a position where I&#8217;m still employed full time. I&#8217;m in a certain type of job, and if I were to get on camera it may cause me issues with my employment. And I&#8217;m not yet at the stage where I&#8217;m able to leave that job to run my business full time. And so I have to build a business without getting on camera and doing a lot of the conventional stuff that everyone tells us that we need to do.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>You see, now all of a sudden a negative becomes a positive. And I&#8217;ll give you one more unique selling proposition example&#8230;</p>
<p>There was a guy I spoke with yesterday, Daniel. He&#8217;s getting some results in his business. But his <a href="https://buffer.com/library/facebook-ads-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Facebook advertising</a> is not quite working out for him &#8211; not quite seeing the results. There were certain areas of his advertising which we identified, that just weren&#8217;t working.</p>
<h2>Facebook Ad Example Of A Unique Selling Proposition</h2>
<p>And so, we were looking at his Facebook ads &#8211; what he was doing, and how he was doing it. But something he said on the call that wasn&#8217;t even intended to be anything&#8230;</p>

<p>He said, <em>&#8220;Dean, just to let you know, I intended to have my two kids asleep by now. But they&#8217;re still awake, so I&#8217;m hoping they don&#8217;t interrupt us on the call. But there is a chance you&#8217;ll hear a bit of noise in the background. So, apologies if that happens.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Anyway, that was just said. We got into the call, looking at all his stuff, talking things through. Then all of a sudden it struck me&#8230;</p>
<p>I said, <em>&#8220;Looking at all of your ads that aren&#8217;t getting a response or much happening in terms of actions&#8230; I&#8217;m not seeing anything of yourself, your uniqueness, your personal circumstance &#8211; you, your life, your realness.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>And as we got into it, I said, <em>&#8220;Well, do you have any pictures of you and your family, your partner, your children?&#8221;</em> And he showed me this picture, and I said, <em>&#8220;Ah, fantastic!&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Then he said, <em>&#8220;Actually, I did test this image with an ad.&#8221;</em> So I had a look at it, and that Facebook ad did have a good clickthrough rate, but the post (landing page) I didn&#8217;t feel was any &#8216;story&#8217;. It was just a quick post like, <em><strong><a href="https://likesinternetmarketing.com/iceberg" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">&#8220;Are you an affiliate marketer? Not getting results? Click here and grab this, or check this out.&#8221;</a></strong></em></p>

<h2>Unique Selling Proposition Example With Content Marketing Storytelling</h2>
<p>So I said, <em>&#8220;What you need is&#8230; What we should be trying out here, is a story. What if you were to capture some images and some video of where you&#8217;re trying to work, and your kids are climbing all over you?&#8221;</em></p>
<p>He laughed and said, <em>&#8220;Oh I&#8217;ve actually got some images. I was on my computer and I&#8217;ve got my daughter hanging round my neck, trying to pull me away to play.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>And I said, <em>&#8220;This is your uniqueness, this is your angle.&#8221;</em> Not a uniqueness in the sense of, no one else is doing this. But, <em>&#8220;This is your way in to connect with a certain slice &#8211; a small slice of a big pie of a marketplace.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Because there are tons of other people who want to build a business, who have children and struggle between that balance&#8230; <em>&#8220;I need to build a business. I&#8217;m going out to work, coming home, sitting at the computer, but my children need me as well, and I&#8217;m building all of this for my kids, but I&#8217;m stuck&#8230;&#8221;</em></p>

<p>I said, <em>&#8220;If you can use that aspect of your life to attract people, you&#8217;re going to have a lot more success.&#8221;</em></p>
<h2>Your Day To Day Life Is Your Path To Prosperity</h2>
<p>So my message for you today is&#8230; No matter where you&#8217;re at in your business&#8230; Your realness, your day to day life, your existence, your every day being, and what happens in your life&#8230; That is your path to prosperity. It is your path into the marketplace, as you can see from these unique selling proposition examples. Your stuff that you can discuss and talk about.</p>
<p>If I go back to 2008&#8230; 2004 to 2008, I didn&#8217;t get any results. Lost over $60,000. Had a -$3,000 bank overdraft. Didn&#8217;t make a single, damn sale on the internet in all those years!</p>
<p>Then in 2008 my new mentor said to me, <em>&#8220;Dean, you need to start being real, open and honest.&#8221;</em> And as scared as I was to talk about how much of a failure I felt, how I&#8217;d lost all that money, and how I&#8217;d spent 4 years getting nowhere&#8230;</p>

<p>&#8220;Okay, leverage, leverage, leverage! One of the fastest ways to shortcut and speed up the growth of your business and your success.</p>
<p>Good morning! Welcome to another episode of The Drive.</p>
<p>Today&#8230; y&#8217;know, what I&#8217;ve been thinking about this morning&#8230; A lot of people always ask questions like&#8230;</p>
<p><em>&#8220;What is the biggest shortcut to success? What is the thing that gets people to succeed?&#8221;</em></p>
<p>The majority of people in the home business industry are struggling &#8211; as in, can&#8217;t figure things out, can&#8217;t make things work. And y&#8217;know, there&#8217;s a lot of people that obviously get a few sales, earn a few commissions, and then nothing really continues to happen.</p>

<p>Then there&#8217;s a lot of people that can&#8217;t even make those first few commissions. And I was exactly the same, back when I first started in 2004. I didn&#8217;t make my first commission until 2008 &#8211; which is&#8230;</p>
<h2>Pretty Insane When You Think About It, Right?</h2>
<p>Like, to be trying to build a business or make money online for four years, before you actually make money online! And the crazy thing is, usually by that stage&#8230; (certainly was true for me) is you&#8217;ve spent so much, that it can almost be too difficult to see your way out and into profit.</p>
<p>So I was thinking about this, this morning. I was thinking, &#8220;Y&#8217;know, what is the answer to that question?&#8221; &#8220;What is the quickest way?&#8221;</p>
<p>Or, &#8220;What is one of the things that can dramatically help and accelerate you, from zero to results?&#8221;</p>
<p>And even when you&#8217;re getting some results, &#8220;What is the thing that can take you from some results, to lots of results, or bigger results?&#8221;</p>
<p>The answer is actually the same, in many respects. And that is &#8220;leverage.&#8221;</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve spoken about this with our clients and <a href="https://likesinternetmarketing.com/partner" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Certified Partners</a> so many times, because it never changes: Leverage. Why is it that you see some people&#8230;</p>
<h2>Their Growth Just Goes Wild, And Fast, And Insane!?</h2>

<p>And it&#8217;s actually because of leverage. They get momentum, and they continue to leverage that momentum.</p>
<p>And so, here&#8217;s a quick example of this. I know this is actually such a vast topic. I could I probably spent hours and hours teaching on this. But let me just give one quick thing that you can do to leverage.</p>
<p>When you learn something, or when you accomplish something, or when you achieve something&#8230; Don&#8217;t keep it to yourself &#8211; leverage it.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what I would mean by that. Let&#8217;s just say that you&#8217;ve just made your first commission&#8230;</p>
<p>What you should be doing is shouting from the rooftops! Or in the current age that we live in, shouting it out on social media&#8230; growing your business on social media&#8230;</p>
<p>Telling your story. Leveraging what you&#8217;ve just achieved and accomplished.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t think, &#8220;Oh, well it&#8217;s just $20&#8221;, or, &#8220;It&#8217;s just 100 bucks&#8221;, or it&#8217;s &#8220;this&#8221;, or it&#8217;s &#8220;that&#8221;&#8230;</p>
<p>Because so many people have not been able to achieve that.</p>
<h2>They Want To Hear About YOU</h2>
<p>About how you&#8217;ve done it. And to learn from your story.</p>

<p>Okay, now perhaps you haven&#8217;t made money. Perhaps you&#8217;ve learned how to drive traffic. Or perhaps you&#8217;ve learned how to set up a blog. Perhaps you&#8217;ve added your first 10 subscribers to your email list.</p>
<p>Whatever it is, whatever you&#8217;ve learned, whatever you&#8217;ve achieved, whatever you&#8217;ve accomplished&#8230; Shout about it, and leverage it. And do so in a way that attracts people to enquire with you.</p>
<p>So for example, let&#8217;s just say that you have been studying a course, and you have followed that course, and you&#8217;ve got results of some kind. Whether it&#8217;s&#8230; built a list, got some traffic, made some money&#8230; whatever it is, right?</p>
<p>Now go and leverage that by shouting it from the rooftops, or <a href="https://copyblogger.com/social-media-marketing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">posting it on social media</a> &#8211; sharing the story, sharing the results, sharing the excitement.</p>
<p>And then simply say something like&#8230;</p>
<p><em>&#8220;If you&#8217;d like to know the program that I follow to do this, then drop me a private message and I&#8217;d be more than happy to share it.&#8221;</em></p>
<h2>It&#8217;s Opening Up Conversation Without Being &#8220;Salesy&#8221;</h2>
<p>And now people are going to message you, if you&#8217;ve got people watching and following you.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve got friends on Facebook that are in the same industry, also looking to make money online, or build a business, and that&#8217;s what you&#8217;re leveraging&#8230;</p>

<p>I just came out of the store, picking up some orange juice, and this lady comes in with a young kid.</p>
<h2>And Y&#8217;know, It Was Awesome!</h2>
<p>I was behind her waiting to pay for the orange juice, and she was so upbeat with the guy in the store. She was like, &#8220;Hey Bobby!&#8221; (I assume that&#8217;s his name otherwise she was just making it up.)</p>

<h2>One Of The Most Stupid And Idiotic Statements</h2>
<p>&#8230;damaging, potentially damaging statements, for people to read on social media, on Facebook yesterday.</p>
<p>And rather ridiculously and unfortunately, it was also backed up by a whole bunch of other people commenting &#8211; agreeing with the statement!</p>
<p>So I&#8217;ve got to talk about that, this morning.</p>
<p>The statement was, &#8220;Paid advertising on Facebook does not work. I&#8217;ve tried everything and it just doesn&#8217;t work. So don&#8217;t waste your money.&#8221;</p>
<h2>And I Was Like&#8230; &#8220;What!?&#8221;</h2>
<p>You&#8217;re literally making a statement in a place, in a social environment, where your words can impact others beliefs, and feelings, and thoughts&#8230; And you&#8217;re making a statement that&#8217;s not just untrue, but complete nonsense!</p>
<p>I need everybody that sees this to be aware that the words you say, both verbally and in text online&#8230; those words that you speak, or say, or type&#8230; can have an impact on others beliefs and feelings too.</p>
<p>So for that person that, simply because they don&#8217;t know&#8230;</p>
<h2>How To Do Facebook Ads Successfully</h2>

<p>&#8230;they&#8217;ve now blanketed this statement, that Facebook Ads don&#8217;t work.</p>
<p>And then you&#8217;ve got all these other sheep that come along, who&#8217;ve also probably tried Facebook ads and can&#8217;t do it, because they either haven&#8217;t learned properly or haven&#8217;t applied&#8230; or they&#8217;ve been impatient, or they&#8217;ve made mistakes.</p>
<p>So they haven&#8217;t had positive results either. They&#8217;re like, &#8220;No, you&#8217;re right. Facebook Ads don&#8217;t work.&#8221;&#8230; NO! <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>You</em></span> don&#8217;t work, okay? It&#8217;s not Facebook Ads that don&#8217;t work &#8211; <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">you</span></em> don&#8217;t work, right?</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s the truth. Do Facebook ads work? Of course Facebook advertising works! All kinds of advertising works&#8230; With the right message, to the right people, at the right time.</p>
<h2>That Is Just Factually Correct</h2>
<p>If your market&#8230; if your ideal target audience is on that platform, and you know how to get your message in front of them.</p>
<p>And your message is a compelling one, for a great offer that they both want and need&#8230; you will be able to make that platform work.</p>
<p>Will you make it work immediately&#8230;? Doubtful.</p>
<p>Will you immediately have a positive ROI (return on investment)&#8230;? Or, will you lose money&#8230;? Likelihood is, you&#8217;re going to lose some money.</p>

<p>So don&#8217;t ever, ever make a statement that is untrue, that could steer others into believing that. Because now, unfortunately, there&#8217;s gonna be a whole bunch of people that don&#8217;t&#8230;</p>
<h2>Give Facebook Ads The Attention They Deserve</h2>
<p>&#8230;that could potentially make them a lot of money. Because of that stupid, idiotic statement re. do Facebook ads work?</p>
<p>First of all, be careful of what you say.</p>
<p>Second of all, be extra careful who and what you listen to.</p>

<p>If I think back to when I first got started online, when I first discovered that people were making money on the internet. It was actually in 2004.</p>
<p>But I didn’t make any money or really experienced any progress or anything really until the end of 2008.</p>
<p>So you may wonder what was happening during that time? Well, I was buying lots and lots of products, y’know.</p>
<p>I’d buy e-books, video courses, software plugins, loads and loads of different stuff.</p>

<h2>I Didn’t Actually Have Anything Substantial Or Tangible Online</h2>
<p>There was no presence. There was nothing really.</p>

<li>I didn’t have a blog, like I have now.</li>
<li>I didn’t have a YouTube channel, like I have now.</li>
<li>I didn’t have a Facebook page, like I have now.</li>
<li>I didn’t have any active social media presence.</li>
</ul>
<p>So when you think about the way in which the Internet and the world as a whole has evolved into the current day. It’s in a position where it is a very social environment.</p>
<p>You only have to look over the last decade &#8211; the massive advances and the uprising of social media platforms.</p>
<h2>They Have Now Taken Over The Internet</h2>
<p>Billions and billions of people across the world are using social media platforms actively.</p>
<p>Even if you think about television&#8230; Reality TV, ‘social television’, has taken the world by storm.</p>
<p>You have talent shows, you have things like Big Brother where they take members of the public and put them in a house and surround them with cameras for weeks on end.</p>

<p>People like to follow people.</p>
<p>Think about your own habits online. Do you follow other people?</p>
<p>Well if you watch my daily Drive videos, then to some extent that that kind of emphasises my point, right?</p>
<p>What I do with my Drive videos is, I’m documenting, talking about topics and sharing what I’m doing in my company, Internet Profits.</p>

<li>I talk about the lessons I’m learning.</li>
<li>I talk about the experiences I’m having.</li>
<li>I talk about the results.</li>
<li>I talk about the the things that don’t work, and the things that do work.</li>

<h2>I’m Just Documenting My Journey</h2>
<p>I make it very easy now for people to find me and follow me. Whereas in the past I didn&#8217;t.</p>
<p>And the way in which I view it, and why I even do these Drive videos, and why we do the other things that we do for free&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8230;is to be able to basically have ways for people that don’t know who we are, people that haven’t yet discovered us &#8211; to discover us!</p>
<p>Because only then can we ultimately have people that go on to become our customers, and eventually go on to become our clients.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s because we now make it very easy for people to find us on multiple social media platforms.</p>

<p>I’m on YouTube marketing. I’m on Facebook marketing. I have an digital marketing blog. I have this online presence.</p>
<p>People can find me easily. People can then find out more about me. They can start to investigate and evaluate whether they want to do business with me.</p>
<p>Some of those people will continue to actually then go on to become paying customers, and high paying clients of our premium programs.</p>

<li>Share what you’re learning.</li>
<li>Share what you’re implementing.</li>
<li>Share what gets you results, whether they’re good or bad.</li>
<li>Share what things you classify as a failure.</li>
<li>Share all the lessons you learn from the things that don’t work out as you’d hoped.</li>

<p>Today we&#8217;re talking the best way to get website traffic &#8211; seen by many as the holy grail in online marketing.</p>
<p>I used to think myself, <em>“If only I could get more traffic, then I&#8217;d be rich! If only I could get more traffic, then I wouldn&#8217;t be struggling anymore.”</em></p>
<p>And that statement is really only true when you have the correct things in place, okay?</p>
<p>So obviously you have to have something to turn that traffic into sales &#8211; meaning you need a sales process, you need a sales funnel, you need offers that are optimised to convert.</p>
<p>With the rising cost of traffic, having just one offer &#8211; unless it&#8217;s a high ticket premium priced offer &#8211; having just one offer nowadays is not going to cut it in most markets, or at least in many markets.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m sure there are some, but&#8230;</p>
<h2>Website Traffic Is Always Going To Be On The Increase In Cost</h2>
<p>Therefore that means you need to make that traffic more valuable to you. Which means having either higher price products or more products to sell to the the people that you&#8217;re attracting into your business.</p>

<p>Now what I want to talk about today is what I used to describe as, “The future of online traffic generation”. But today I&#8217;m going to change that. Today I&#8217;m going to say it is, “The current way of traffic generation” &#8211; the best way to get website traffic, in my humble opinion, and doing it successfully, okay?</p>
<p>There were times &#8211; and this is how a lot of people still operate, and I&#8217;m not saying this is completely redundant &#8211; what I&#8217;m saying is that&#8230;</p>
<h2>Times Have Changed, Things Have Changed</h2>
<p>There&#8217;s been shifts that have occurred in the marketplace, one of which (as I&#8217;ve just touched on) is the fact that traffic is going to continually increase in cost.</p>
<p>And so how do you get traffic and make it profitable to you now and into the future? Well the new way and&#8230;</p>
<h2>Currently The Best Way To Get Website Traffic Profitably</h2>
<p>&#8230;is with multiple campaigns. Now we haven&#8217;t really publicly launched this yet, but I&#8217;ve actually built an entire traffic training system around this entire concept. It&#8217;s not available, so I&#8217;m not saying that to try and sell it to you.</p>
<p>But what I&#8217;m getting at here is, this is something we&#8217;ve been doing for quite some time &#8211; and I&#8217;ve seen that it&#8217;s been increasingly successful. And now, I&#8217;m actually noticing more and more very&#8230;</p>
<h2>Very Big Successful Marketers Are Adapting This Approach</h2>
<p>So, what is this approach?</p>
<p>Well let me share it&#8230; When I say multiple campaigns, I&#8217;m talking about having your overall, entire campaign in your business that attracts your traffic, turns them into leads, turns them into customers, clients, or repeat customers &#8211; whatever your business model is.</p>

<p>But within that big overall campaign, there are mini Facebook Ads campaigns that move people through the stages. Here&#8217;s an example: So we will&#8230;</p>
<h2>Run Facebook Ads That Have No Calls To Action In Them!</h2>
<p>It&#8217;s going to sound strange to all you direct response marketers out there, right?</p>
<p>And I&#8217;ve always been in direct response, but here&#8217;s what we&#8217;re now doing.</p>
<p>We will have our first mini Facebook Ads campaign, which would just be some value based around a specific topic that speaks directly to our ideal customer.</p>
<p>So that first campaign, that first video &#8211; it might be a 3-6 minute video, usually pretty short. There are exceptions, but usually a three to six minute video.</p>
<h2>In That Video We Will Just Give Value, Okay?</h2>
<p>And the goal of that is&#8230; well, two goals:</p>
<ol>
<li>One is to introduce ourselves to our ideal customer, to our marketplace.</li>
<li>And the second reason is to build a “pixelled” audience &#8211; to build a warmer audience &#8211; people that have been introduced to us.</li>
</ol>
<p>So now with those people moving to mini Facebook Ads campaign number two &#8211; remember this is all still within the same campaign, okay? So now, in mini campaign number two, this would be another piece of content which has the intention to move people to the next stage.</p>

<p>This would typically be to either get them on our email list, or to convert them into a customer of a&#8230;</p>
<h2>Low Risk, Low Barrier Entry Product</h2>
<p>Now low barrier entry products to me &#8211; we use as often as possible (and I use this for all of our clients and customers) are free plus shipping offers.</p>
<p>Okay, so we would go from introducing ourselves in campaign number one &#8211; no call-to-action, just an introduction and giving value.</p>
<p>The next piece of content is shown to people who&#8217;ve engaged with that engaged with that. So if they watched at least a good chunk of that first content video, then we would show them the next ad, okay?</p>
<p>In that next ad, we look to move them along the line. So either as a lead or most likely with a free for shipping offer &#8211; that turns them into a buyer.</p>
<p>From there, they would then move into mini Facebook Ads campaign number three, which is basically to&#8230;</p>
<h2>Ascend Them Further Through Our Sales Process</h2>
<p>Now for us, that might mean an invitation to a webinar, it might mean a case study that generates an application for a particular program, it might be an invitation to like I say an automated webinar or live webinar, it might be a different offer, it might be a membership, and so on.</p>
<p>So we have these three Facebook Ads campaigns:</p>
<ol>
<li>One is shown to people that have no idea who we are.</li>
<li>The next is shown to people who have engaged with that first piece of content and are at least aware of us, even if just a little.</li>
<li>And then the third campaign is shown to customers who have taken action on that second step.</li>
</ol>
<p>And that can obviously just continue on, okay? But we generally have those 3 campaigns to take people from stranger, to being aware of us, to being a customer, to becoming a client or whatever that next stage may be.</p>

<p>Today we&#8217;re going to be talking about an unusual way to build an audience on Facebook.Welcome to another episode of The Drive. Dean Holland here of course, and you&#8217;re joining us on this short journey to the Internet Profits headquarters.</p>
<p>So we were just &#8211; I&#8217;ve actually got Craig Crawford in the car with me &#8211; so we we just realised, I actually forgot to hit record on the equipment here, and we&#8217;re just talking away and it was like, everything we&#8217;ve just been talking about&#8230; we should have been recording for The Drive.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m just going to focus in on one thing we&#8217;ve just been talking about &#8211; different ways, different Facebook marketing campaigns, and different things that we can do to&#8230;</p>
<h2>Build An Audience On Facebook</h2>
<p>&#8230;and create anticipation, create curiosity around a launch that we&#8217;ve got coming up later this month, called Quick Start Challenge.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve been following along with The Drive, you&#8217;ll know that there&#8217;s several projects that are going on right now. Which is why some days you&#8217;ll tune in and I&#8217;ll be talking about <a href="https://likesinternetmarketing.com/perfect" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Perfect Offer</a>, which is a brand new funnel and product we&#8217;ve created, that we&#8217;re just in the testing phase of&#8230; driving traffic to, optimising the funnel, before we open it up to our Certified Partners who can then use that in their businesses.</p>

<h2>We&#8217;ve Got A Brand New Members Area</h2>
<p>&#8230;brand new certification program, we&#8217;ve got so many projects.</p>
<p>But the awesome thing is, is that I&#8217;ve now built the foundation in the company to facilitate being able to manage multiple projects and have them come to fruition fast, y&#8217;know &#8211; executing fast!</p>
<p>And so what I guess I want to really talk about here, which is one of the things that we were just focused on in our conversation before I hit record, was</p>
<h2>Using A Chat Bot With Facebook Ads</h2>
<p>If you don&#8217;t know what that means, a chat bot is essentially &#8211; you can set up a particular software (I think there&#8217;s a few different things out there right now) but the one that we particularly were just discussing was a software called ManyChat.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t want to go too complex here, but essentially what it allows you to do is set it up so that&#8230; you can make a post on one of your Facebook fan pages, and then you can set up one of these systems such as ManyChat almost like an email autoresponder.</p>
<p>But the way in which you can have it work, is if somebody comments on one of your Facebook posts that&#8217;s on your fan page, you can automatically have a private message sent to their Facebook inbox.</p>

<p>Now if you&#8217;ve never heard of that, you might already be starting to think of&#8230;</p>
<h2>How Exciting&#8230; And The Potential&#8230;</h2>
<p>&#8230;that such a thing has. Yes, there are some rules here &#8211; they do have to then confirm with that message that they want to receive messages from you, just like opting in to your email list you know, somebody has to give permission for you to email them.</p>
<p>Well they have to give permission here to be added to &#8211; and this is where ManyChat comes in &#8211; they can be added to your email list inside of ManyChat that then means you can send broadcast messages to their inbox on Facebook.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve just been talking about potentially testing this out for the Quick Start Challenge launch. So what we&#8217;ll probably do, just give you an idea of how we would use that&#8230;</p>
<p>Well what I&#8217;ll probably do is, I&#8217;ll create a piece of video content or we&#8217;ll create a piece of video content (this is a joint project between Craig and I) and we can then post that video with some written text for the post as well</p>
<p>Basically, the goal for us I think is really&#8230;</p>
<h2>How Do We Make Somebody Curious Enough</h2>
<p>&#8230;behind what&#8217;s in that video, to leave a comment to say, “I&#8217;m interested”.</p>

<p>Therefore then we can have ManyChat set up to send them a private message, and then basically lead them to the pre-launch, which will be happening five days before the actual launch on August 17th and will run for those five days.</p>
<p>We&#8217;re basically launching a 30 day coaching class for $197, where I&#8217;m going to walk people through this weekly coaching program, to teach them and deploy a blueprint in their businesses, to aim to get them to at least $100 dollars a day online.</p>
<p>And y&#8217;know really, one of the sideline conversations from this, is how many&#8230;</p>
<h2>Amazing Tools And Resources We Have At Our Disposal</h2>
<p>&#8230;as online marketers to build an audience on <a href="https://www.wordstream.com/blog/ws/2017/11/01/facebook-audiences" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Facebook</a>.</p>
<p>If you were to go back &#8211; and I don&#8217;t know how long you&#8217;ve been marketing online, or looking at marketing online, or having an online business &#8211; but I came into this industry initially in 2004. And even in that 13 year time frame, it&#8217;s insane how much things have changed.</p>
<p>I remember when I was starting out, the only options we really even had was things like Google Ads or y&#8217;know other pay-per-clicks.</p>
<p>Now, we&#8217;re talking about doing things with social media where people can just leave a comment on one of your posts, and you can add them to an autoresponder sequence within their social media account, where the average user spends probably thirty to ninety minutes a day on that platform &#8211; it goes straight to their mobile phone/cell phone. It is insane the resources we have at our disposal.</p>

<p>Welcome to another episode of The Drive. We&#8217;ve actually got Mr Louis Doughty who heads up the coaching division here at Internet Profits.</p>
<p>Louis lives about four hours away and works from home. But he&#8217;s he down here for a few days because we&#8217;re actually building out, recording and shooting our Certified Partner Program training.</p>
<p>So we&#8217;re actually recording over these next two or three days &#8211; I&#8217;d say at least two days of filming. Planning today and filming later, and then filming tomorrow.</p>
<p>Hopefully all being well, depending on how today goes planning everything, we can get that done in that time. And then Adam can spend the next few days editing and producing all of that&#8230;.</p>
<h2>Which Is Pretty Exciting!</h2>
<p>Because that&#8217;s the final thing we&#8217;re actually waiting on to go into our new members area, our new website for our Internet Profits Certified Partners.</p>

<p>I won&#8217;t go into all of that now, but that&#8217;s essentially the people that pay us to become Certified by us and then basically, once Certified, get to actually <a href="https://likesinternetmarketing.com/partner" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">use all of our sales funnels, and marketing systems, and sales team</a> for their own businesses. Which is awesome!</p>
<p>So that&#8217;s what&#8217;s happening over the next couple of days. In with that, if you&#8217;ve been following The Drive, you&#8217;ll know that we are in the trenches right now&#8230;</p>
<h2>Testing Our New Sales Funnel</h2>
<p>&#8230;which is for an offer called, “<a href="https://likesinternetmarketing.com/perfect" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Perfect Offer</a>”. This is basically a 60 to 65 minute training loaded onto a USB stick, and it goes out with some awesome bonuses, in an amazing package and all that good stuff.</p>
<p>We had a bit of a delay. I don&#8217;t if I mentioned this on previous episodes in the last day or so. But we had some delays because I did my first Facebook ad which actually was a video, well actually was a Facebook Live. So I did a Facebook Live talking about&#8230;</p>
<h2>The Only Three Ways To Grow A Business, Which Are:</h2>
<ol>
<li>Get more customers.</li>
<li>Sell more to your customers at the point of sale.</li>
<li>Generate repeat custom, so bring your customers back at some future date to buy more product.</li>
</ol>
<p>And so I did a Facebook Live about that. And then at the end, there was a call to action to grab a copy of The Perfect Offer. So it was a way of leading people into that sales funnel. And then I basically set up a Facebook Ad promoting that Live.</p>

<p>Now the problem was &#8211; whatever it is &#8211; I don&#8217;t really know what it was &#8211; they haven&#8217;t told me at this stage&#8230; But there was&#8230;</p>
<h2>Something That Triggered An Automatic Disapproval</h2>
<p>&#8230;because it just happened literally within a couple of minutes &#8211; so there&#8217;s no way it was a manual thing.</p>
<p>So I appealed it. I&#8217;d set up four different ads through Facebook, all promoting the same video ad, but targeting different people and different placements &#8211; so y&#8217;know, mobile and desktop with different targeting options &#8211; and got disapproved.</p>
<p>And that happened (I probably have mentioned this on a Drive) on Friday was it? Thursday or Friday of last week.</p>
<h2>The Crap Thing Was&#8230;</h2>
<p>&#8230;it actually took Facebook four days to get back to me from my appeal. I appealed it straight away, because I was certain there wasn&#8217;t anything wrong. Then it took them four days, until yesterday afternoon to get back to me. And as suspected (or as hoped, should I say) they basically did a manual verification and they confirmed that it wasn&#8217;t against their policy.</p>
<p>So my ads went active yesterday afternoon and now the ad is running. I also set up another ad, which is actually a written long copy image ad &#8211; set that up yesterday, and that&#8217;s now running as well. So obviously this morning, we&#8217;ll get in there and see what&#8217;s happening.</p>
<p>But I never really like to judge an ad too soon, you know. I&#8217;d like to give it 24-48 hours, because I tend to find that&#8230;</p>
<h2>Facebook&#8217;s Algorithms Take A Little Time To Settle Down</h2>
<p>&#8230;when you go live with a new ad.</p>

<p>So we&#8217;ve essentially got six different ads running at the moment four of which are the same video ad, and two of which are for the other ad which is a long copy.</p>
<p>I think what I&#8217;m probably going to do &#8211; one of my plans from here on out (I was talking about this yesterday) &#8211; I think I&#8217;m actually going to do a Facebook Live every day of the week.</p>
<p>So I think&#8230;</p>
<h2>I&#8217;m Going To Do A Facebook Live Monday To Friday &#8211; Five Days A Week</h2>
<p>Do a short Facebook Live, anywhere between three to six minutes &#8211; something along those lines &#8211; with a call to action on them to go to the sales funnel.</p>
<p>And then basically put a small ad budget behind each one, each day &#8211; maybe like twenty dollars. So if I do five Lives a week, twenty dollars budget behind each one, I&#8217;ll be spending $100 a week promoting the Lives.</p>
<p>But then I&#8217;m hoping that each week we see one of those at least, actually start to get some traction. Then what I&#8217;ll do is &#8211; I&#8217;ll just continue on a daily basis to put a daily budget behind that one.</p>
<p>My thinking is, if I do that each day, then each month I&#8217;m essentially going to end up with twenty or so Facebook Lives &#8211; which is&#8230;</p>
<h2>20 Video Ads, All Having A Budget Behind Them</h2>

<p>And then hopefully each month I end up with three, four or five of those that actually have a bit of traction.</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s just one thing that I can be doing &#8211; and then building those up. Obviously it&#8217;s great value into the marketplace, which is awesome. And also hopefully, it&#8217;s a good way of actually leading people to that sales funnel and getting traffic from the Facebook ad platform. In addition to that we&#8217;ll obviously do other stuff &#8211; we&#8217;ll be testing other ads</p>
<p>One final thing to fill you in on &#8211; because I&#8217;m hoping we get this done today &#8211; we are building for other traffic sources. We&#8217;re actually building like a&#8230;</p>

<p>You&#8217;ll know if you&#8217;ve been following The Drive, that we&#8217;re doing internal testing and optimisation this week and continuing next week, for a current offer, brand new offer that nobody&#8217;s seen yet called &#8220;<a href="https://likesinternetmarketing.com/perfect" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Perfect Offer</a>&#8220;. <h2>Setting Up Some Facebook Ads</h2>
<p>So if you saw The Drive earlier on this week, you&#8217;ll have heard me talking about how I was trying to decide which path to go with our traffic strategy. Meaning, would I do email buy traffic / solo ad traffic first, or Facebook Ads first, or both, or what would I do?</p>
<p>And I was leaning initially towards solo ads. But I&#8217;m actually going to get on and do both. The reason being is, I&#8217;m just not a hundred percent convinced that solo ad traffic is the best for this offer because of how it&#8217;s currently set up. But because of that, one of the things I did the other day, and one of the things we started looking at, was&#8230;</p>

<h2>A Survey Squeeze Page</h2>
<p>So we can drive different types of traffic, I believe, more successfully to a survey page. Then segment them based on the responses they give. So solo ad traffic took a bit of a backseat just for a couple of days while we get that set up. And as I say, this afternoon I&#8217;m going to do some Facebook Ads &#8211; set up some ads, so we can start those running.</p>

<p>&#8230;to do so, that we can get some ads running, start driving traffic to the funnel, start analysing and optimising. So hopefully on Monday, all being well, Monday/Tuesday I should be able to start telling you and sharing with you, here on The Drive, what&#8217;s happening.</p>
<p>So I&#8217;ll share, y&#8217;know, what conversion rates are we seeing? Have we made our first sales? Do the upsells sell? Do those offers convert? Or do they not? What changes do we have to make?</p>
<p>And so I&#8217;ll continue sharing what it is we&#8217;re up to, on a day to day basis, and how things are going. Hopefully this is of value to you &#8211; to hear what is going on within the business, and what is happening. And hopefully, it gives a bit of insight into what it is we do here at Internet Profits, and how it is that we grow our companies and help our clients to grow theirs as well.</p>

<h2>A Facebook Page Marketing Strategy That Works</h2>
<p>Research your ideal customer for your Facebook Page for business. You have to know who you’re looking for on social media. You might say, it’s everyone, but you would be wrong, that’s not your ideal audience when you are using Facebook for business. You need to think about who you really want to talk to and reach on Facebook and then tailor your message to them.</p>
<p>Use Graph Search to help you with your Facebook Page marketing strategy. Type in phrases into the search bar at the top of Facebook. For instance, “Pages liked by people who like Liz Mellville”. Substitute your business page name for “Liz Melville”.</p>
<p>If you want to snoop on the competition it could be a competitor’s business page name or another page where you might find your ideal customer. Facebook will return a list of other pages that your fans like so you can build a list of their topics of interest. In Liz’s case the results show that her fans are into books and literature. So Liz ought to talk about books and literature but she could bring it back to a business context and ask her fans, “what’s the best business book you have ready lately?” By doing so she is linking it back to what she has found out about what her audience is interested in.</p>
<p>By using Graph Search you are able to hone in on what your audience wants to hear about. Importantly do not talk about what you want to sell but what they want to hear, that’s the key because most of the time that people are on Facebook they are not there to buy but to have a chat.</p>
<h2>Set Some Goals and Measure Your Success</h2>
<p>It does not really matter what it is but you should have a goal because if you do not know what you want to get out of using Facebook Pages for marketing how will you know it is working for you? Make sure your goals are specific so that you can measure your success. So it might be…</p>
<p>• How many website/blog visitors you can drive from Facebook?<br />
• How many email subscribers you can get?<br />
• How many page likes do you want to get?<br />
• What level of post reach do you want?<br />
• What percentage uplift in sales?</p>
<p>Whatever you choose make sure it is measurable and after a set period of time see whether you have achieved your goal.</p>
<h2>Seek Out Your Facebook Audience</h2>
<p>You need to “fish” in the right place to find people you want. Again you can use Graph Search to answer:</p>
<p>• Which Facebook Pages do your audience love?<br />
• Which Facebook Groups might they be in?</p>
<p>Search “Groups joined by people who like (insert your business page name)” and then join those groups, where appropriate, join-in the conversation and occasionally mention what you do. People will get to know you and come across to your Page.</p>
<h2>Create Attention Grabbing Content</h2>
<p>You need the right bait to hook your customers and that’s your content. If you find that you are not getting post reach and engagement on Facebook it is not Facebook’s fault, the truth is you are not creating the right content. Great images are like gold dust on Facebook because they grab the attention and will engage your audience.</p>
<p>It’s Facebook Page suicide if you try to sell, sell, sell. That’s not to say you should never sell but just follow the 80:20 rule. 80% of your content should be for your ideal customer and only 20% should be about you and your business.</p>
<h2>Use Facebook Ads</h2>
<p>Facebook is now one of the largest ad networks in the world and it offer you laser targeting by using “interests” when you set up your Facebook ads. During the process of setting up your ad, Facebook will ask you the questions about who you want the ads to reach.</p>
<p>In your ad copy make include your offer and the most important information right up at the top before the cut off. Ask a question, spark curiosity, or invite people to interact with your advert. Experiment with the length. Some Facebook ads work better is they are long while others are more effective if they are short. To find out what works best try A/B testing and then use the one that produces the best results. Also test your images and headlines on your ordinary non-promoted posts to see what is likely to get the most likes, comments and shares before you use them on a Facebook ad. Your image should be 1200 x 628 pixels because Facebook will then optimise it to look good and PNG files work better than jpeg. If you are using text in your image, Facebook will screen it to make sure the text only takes up 20% of the image.</p>

<p>Today I want to talk to you about five things you need if you&#8217;re into social media marketing if you&#8217;re either just getting started or you&#8217;re already there, there.</p>
<p>Just some things that you want to know to make sure that you have a nice solid foundation for you and your business.</p>
<h2>Five Social Media Marketing Tips</h2>
<p>So, social media marketing &#8211; what is it?</p>
<p>Any venue where you have a business online and you&#8217;re either into email marketing, affiliate marketing, network marketing and you have a product online that you&#8217;re trying to get out there so people can see, and they either buy stuff from you or they join you and your business&#8230; so&#8230;</p>
<h2>1. Specifically Who Are You Talking To?</h2>
<p>You need to know your target audience who is your target audience, if you have a makeup product, you sell vacations, you&#8217;re into network marketing, you have health and wellness products.</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t matter what you do, specifically who are you targeting when you&#8217;re trying to get your information out there. And for me, let&#8217;s say as an example, I&#8217;m into health and wellness, I do network marketing, I&#8217;m between 35 and 40 &#8211; those are three things that are involved in my target audience.</p>
<p>But it could be even further, you could even drill down further&#8230; So maybe someone that&#8217;s been in network marketing before that struggled a little bit, that just needs to get a leg up on what they do and they&#8217;re into all the other things I mentioned. So that could be a very specific target audience.</p>
<p>So what if I were to do a Facebook post, or post a video on YouTube, or send a email newsletter out &#8211; that&#8217;s exactly who I&#8217;m going after. So my content is gonna be targeted exactly in on that specific person.</p>
<p>So drill down that information as much as you possibly can and know exactly who you&#8217;re marketing to.</p>
<h2>2. You Want To Be Able To Brand Yourself</h2>
<p>There&#8217;s a lot that&#8217;s involved in that, but you want to be able to have people LIKE, KNOW and TRUST you&#8230; So that when you&#8217;re marketing to your target audience, they&#8217;ll be willing to buy from you, or subscribe to your newsletter, or jump onto your YouTube channel, or follow you on Facebook because they know, like and trust you. Well how does that happen? Because&#8230;</p>
<h2>3. You&#8217;re Providing Them Value</h2>
<p>You know if you&#8217;re into health and wellness and you&#8217;re looking for a target audience that needs your product that&#8230; whatever product you&#8217;re gonna give them it&#8217;s gonna solve specifically what ails them. And it&#8217;s going to help them out because you&#8217;re providing them value.</p>
<p>So if somebody is already in another business, you want to be able to&#8230; say you have a email marketing newsletter that you send out to them and they&#8217;re into affiliate marketing&#8230; the newsletter that you send out, the content that you provide, is going to help them in their business&#8230; and it&#8217;s going to help get their business to the next level&#8230; is going to teach them something on a daily or weekly basis.</p>
<p>[Pay no attention to the giant fighting rottweilers in the background, they&#8217;re alright!]</p>
<h2>4. Do What Others Do</h2>
<p>If you have an affiliate marketing business, network marketing business, doesn&#8217;t matter what niche your into, health and wellness or makeup or vacations or whatever it is.</p>
<p>Obviously someone in your industry is really good at what they do, so follow them, follow them on Facebook, follow them on YouTube, watch their videos, if they have an email marketing newsletter then jump on that and see what kind of information that they&#8217;re sending out, what type of value are they providing to you&#8230; because you&#8217;re following them.</p>
<p>And then you can kinda mimic and and mirror that a little bit. Obviously, you know, don&#8217;t copy and paste what they do, but use your own words, but<br />
you want to be able to mirror what the leaders are doing and then kinda use that in your own business.</p>
<p>And if you follow successful people then you will find success.</p>
<h2>5. Lastly You Want To Have A System That&#8217;s Going To Help You Do All The Other Things That We Mentioned</h2>
<p>So knowing your audience, branding yourself, providing value, doing what the leaders do. You want to have a system, if you can, that literally sandwiches all that into one spot.</p>
<p>For me that specific system is MLSP or My Lead System Pro. And again it doesn’t matter what business you’re into, what you market online, whether its affiliate marketing or network marketing or email marketing, MLSP literally caterers and works with all of the folks that are in that genre, and helps you brand yourself, helps you provide value, teachers and coaches you how to do that literally with all the top leaders in their specific genre.</p>
<p>So they help you build daily routines, so you can use that system to build daily routines for yourself where no matter what business you’re in, if you can create these routines on a day-to-day basis, that’s going to help you build success. Doing things every single day over time is gonna build you, your brand and going to grow your business.</p>
<p>So you want to be doing those daily activities and you want to have a routine for yourself. And what’s great is you really just need to be accountable to yourself and your business by following those daily activities in that system that you have.</p>
<h2>Social Media Marketing Tips Conclusion</h2>

<p>As a marketing consultant I get the pleasure of talking to fellow marketers and business owners all the time, and one of the first questions I ask them is what they&#8217;re doing on Facebook, because I firmly believe there&#8217;s no better way to spend your money online right now.</p>
<p>Nine times out of ten, what they tell me is this:</p>
<blockquote><p>We spent some money, we got some fans, we got some video views, we got a lot of clicks, but ultimately that return on investment wasn&#8217;t quite there, so we stopped.</p></blockquote>
<p>So I&#8217;m going to show you a framework today that&#8217;s going to help you get more return on investment from your Facebook ad spend. Before we get into that framework, there are a couple of key things that I want to just check off right off the bat that might help you.</p>
<p>These are key mistakes that I see people making all the time. The misuse of Facebook technology. What that means is not having the pixel installed, not using custom conversions, not using a tag management solution to help you out, and not really understanding and using custom audiences the right way, because those are ultimately what make re-marketing and this whole funnel thing really drive through.</p>
<p>We need to understand and use custom audiences the right way, and I&#8217;m going to talk about that in here.</p>
<h2>We Need Between Six To Nine Brand Touch Points</h2>
<p>Another thing, and I kind of call this the SEO mentality, we think that just because somebody is interested or searching for red shoes that means they want to buy it. It&#8217;s not the case. Especially on Facebook, there&#8217;s a completely different mentality on Facebook, and we need to understand that.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a lot of studies that show that we need between six to nine brand touch points before somebody is an interested sales prospect or lead. And we need to build that value, that relationship and really build that purchase intent. We do that through content, which I&#8217;m going to talk about in depth over here as well.</p>
<h2>The Lack Of Trust In Facebook</h2>
<p>Again, the SEO mentality that we&#8217;re constantly working against Google&#8230; Facebook is a complete opposite. They have done an amazing job optimising their platform. All you have to do is tell it what you want it to do and it will go out and it will find the right audiences.</p>
<p>Just have faith in the process. Trust that Facebook will get it done for you, and then you can focus on what really matters.</p>
<h2>The Facebook Marketing Funnel Framework</h2>
<p>This is the framework that I have drawn up over here. It looks like your traditional marketing funnel. It&#8217;s got your awareness, interest, consideration, and purchase. But what&#8217;s in it is specific to this process and Facebook ads in particular.</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m going to start actually not at the top. I&#8217;m going to run you through the whole thing, but I&#8217;m going to start here with interest, because this is where most people start. They build a landing page, a squeeze page that says, &#8220;Hey, opt in for our free e-book,&#8221; and they just start promoting it. They push it to fans. They push it to audiences that they think are interested in it.</p>
<p>Unless you&#8217;re a huge brand that has all of these touch points and awareness taken care of, it&#8217;s very tough because people don&#8217;t know who you are and they&#8217;re not just going to start giving you their information and start buying just because you put up a nice landing page.</p>
<h2>1. Build Your Content &#8211; Whatever Form Works Best For You</h2>
<p>So what we need to do is build the content on top of that. That&#8217;s what I have right here.</p>
<p>So you can I&#8217;ve got different types of content that you can use — videos, blog posts, webinars, e-books. Whatever it is, it doesn&#8217;t really matter. Create something that you&#8217;re comfortable with.</p>
<p>But what you need to focus on is really two things:</p>
<ol>
<li>Making sure that it&#8217;s on your website, because then we can retarget people and get them down that funnel.</li>
<li>Creating and building value for the people that you&#8217;re targeting.</li>
</ol>
<p>So again, if you&#8217;re Moz and you sell a bunch of different products &#8211; you&#8217;ve got your local solutions, you&#8217;ve got your keyword research, you&#8217;ve got link building solutions &#8211; we don&#8217;t want to just create one piece of content. We want to create specific pieces of content that are engaging to those little sub-niches of the audience and relevant to the product, and that&#8217;s key because it allows us to expand and scale this out.</p>
<h2>2. Gather Insights From People That Are Already Aware To Inform Your Lookalike Audiences</h2>
<p>Now once you&#8217;ve got that content built, what I like to start doing is promoting it to what I call warm audience. These are people that are already aware. These are your Facebook fans, your website retargeting list, your customer list, all of these people.</p>
<p>You start by promoting the content to them, and you start analysing the data and see what&#8217;s performing best. Understand the audience segments that are driving the most engagement, driving the most purchases right off the bat, because what we can do is create lookalike audiences based on these and we can pivot into promoting this to cold audiences.</p>
<p>Again, this is really where you can start to scale, because this is only going to take you so far. Unless you&#8217;re a massive brand, it&#8217;s not going to take you very far. This is really mostly for data analysis and getting some initial people into the funnel. This up here, the cold audiences, is where you really start to make your money. So again, lookalike audiences are a tremendous thing.</p>
<p>You need to trust in Facebook that what you tell it to do, it&#8217;s going to go out and find the right people. But there&#8217;s other stuff you can do as well. Again, because we&#8217;re not taking a landing page, we can actually go out and do some form of outreach to get more eyeballs on the page.</p>
<p>We can go to Facebook groups.<br />
We can go to other Facebook Pages.<br />
We can say, &#8220;Hey, I&#8217;ve got this really great guide, eg. &#8220;19 Things To Do to Build Links for Local SEO.&#8221;<br />
We can start to do some exchanges.</p>
<p>All we need to do is start getting people to here, getting people to this content, because once they&#8217;re on this content, they&#8217;re in our funnel. So let me show you how this works, and this is where the Facebook ads really start to pick up and retargeting really starts to come into play.</p>
<h2>3. Remarket With An Initial Offer To Move Your Audience From Aware To Interested</h2>
<p>What we want to do is we want to set parameters that tell Facebook, &#8220;Hey, anytime somebody&#8217;s been to this blog post but hasn&#8217;t been to our landing page, show them this ad.&#8221;</p>
<p>I love to use video in this case, again because video is a great way to build the brand, to hack those touchpoints, to get your face out there, and to start getting some recognition.</p>
<p>So I like to use a video that says, &#8220;Hey, thank you for checking out our blog posts, our webinar. We really appreciate it. But we left some things out, and those things are included on this page.&#8221;</p>
<p>That&#8217;s how you can start to introduce your offer and get people to your landing page, your squeeze page, or your product page.</p>
<h2>4. Use Another Remarketing Ad To Move Them From The Interested Stage To Consideration</h2>
<p>We&#8217;re not done there, because there are some other things that we can do on Facebook to start really building this thing up and driving a lot more conversions.</p>
<p>Once we get people to the landing page, not everyone is going to convert. So what we can do is we can set up another remarketing ad that&#8217;s says, &#8220;Hey Facebook, anytime that somebody has been to our landing page but hasn&#8217;t been to the next page, which is our trial page, our thank you page, whatever that may be, we want to run this ad.&#8221;</p>
<p>Again, I like to use video again, and we can say, &#8220;Hey, thank you for checking out our landing page, but you didn&#8217;t opt in&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8220;Did you know that we have a free trial?&#8221;<br />
&#8220;Did you know that we offer a discount?&#8221;<br />
&#8220;Did you know we have a free e-book?&#8221;</p>
<p>Whatever it is that you&#8217;re offering to get people to opt in, run that. What happens is then you get your people in your email sequence, your traditional marketing sequence. You run that on the side, but again we&#8217;re not done. Because we found these people on Facebook, they&#8217;re still on Facebook. There&#8217;s still more that we can do.</p>
<h2>5. Build Trust With Ads That Share Benefits, Testimonials, Etc.</h2>
<p>If you&#8217;ve got a free trial that you&#8217;re giving away, a free consultation, whatever it is, a discount for your products, we want to tell people about it. We want to make sure that they&#8217;re taking advantage of it, because again you know once you get somebody on email, you might have a 20% open rate, you&#8217;re cutting off 80% of people.</p>
<p>But we know they&#8217;re on Facebook, so what we can do is run another re-marketing ad that says, &#8220;Hey Facebook, anytime that somebody has been to our free trial page but hasn&#8217;t actually purchased, let&#8217;s drive people to use it.&#8221; You can start talking about the benefits of your product, start showing testimonials from people.</p>
<p>Whatever it is that you can drive people to use your product and really build trust in your product, you want to take advantage of that.</p>
<h2>6. Use Your Final Remarketing Ad To Sweeten The Pot And Ask For The Hard Sell</h2>
<p>Finally, we&#8217;re still not done, because we still haven&#8217;t asked for that hard sell. This is where we use our final ad that says, &#8220;Hey Facebook, anytime that somebody has used our trial but hasn&#8217;t been to our ultimate checkout page, we want to run this final ad.&#8221;</p>
<p>What I did, I have a course that I use that I sold using Facebook ads. What I did, I ran a very personalised video ad that said;</p>
<p>&#8220;Hey, thank you for checking out my content.<br />
&#8220;Thank you for attending my webinar.<br />
&#8220;Thank you for checking out the free trial.<br />
&#8220;Look, is there&#8217;s something that&#8217;s holding you up from purchasing?<br />
&#8220;I am willing to jump on a call with you and answer any questions that you may have.&#8221;</p>
<p>Obviously, that&#8217;s not going to apply to every business. But figure out a final piece of value that you can add to those people to really drive them to purchase and ask for that hard sell. Again, this is kind of a quick overview of this process, but the key point here is that this part from down here&#8217;s automated.</p>
<p>All you have to focus on now is building more content and building more traffic to that content, because once you get traffic to this content — and you know tons of ways to do that, you can even rank it in organic search and get people in your funnel that way — all you have to do is focus on getting people in here.</p>
<p>This whole funnel is automated, and it&#8217;s a beautiful thing. When you do this, it takes patience. You&#8217;re not going to get as many email conversions upfront, but it works. I&#8217;m telling you, if you just have faith in this process and use this to your advantage, use remarketing with everything that you can do, it will work.</p>

<p>Do you have your own product or business and want to learn how to market it on Facebook?</p>
<p>Maybe just getting started and you don&#8217;t know how to properly go about getting people to take action on what it is you&#8217;re promoting?</p>
<p>Well in this short video I&#8217;m to share with you three powerful concepts you need to understand if you want to learn how to do Facebook marketing for beginners. Without further ado let&#8217;s go ahead and get to that first concept.</p>
<p>First off, before I get into this first powerful concept I just wanna thank you and commend you for taking action. You know most people, they think of something they want to do and they never actually research how to do it or even get started.</p>
<p>The very fact that you&#8217;re watching the video means that you&#8217;re researching how to improve Facebook marketing, or how to get started. So I wanna just thank you for doing that and show appreciation that, you know, you&#8217;re actually taking action which is the first step to success.</p>
<h2>Traffic Equals Engagement</h2>
<p>Now getting into this first concept; I have is &#8220;traffic equals engagement&#8221;. Now what I mean by that is now if you want to promote a business or product or make money on Facebook, you have to understand that to make money online at all you need traffic.</p>
<p>Traffic is basically just people going to your sales page, your sales video, whatever it is you&#8217;re promoting how you&#8217;re going to be making money.</p>
<p>Now on Facebook, traffic equals engagement. The way you can tell if you&#8217;re getting traffic on Facebook is: Are your likes increasing? Are your comments increasing? Are people sharing your content?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s what you want to be working on and thinking about when you go to market on Facebook. Ok, you want to be constantly thinking how&#8217;s my engagement, how can I increase my engagement? Because the more engagement you get on your post the more eyeballs and traffic your getting. And then the more sales and money you could be putting into your pocket.</p>
<p>So that&#8217;s the first concept you want to start thinking about when you want to market on Facebook.</p>
<h2>Pictures Are Greater Than Text</h2>
<p>The second concept I want to share is &#8220;pictures are greater than text&#8221;. Now what I mean by that is, in a recent study it was shown that 53 percent of people engaged more on pictures. What that basically means is that a post that contained pictures got 53 percent more engagement, and like we learned; more traffic.</p>
<p>So if you&#8217;re posting on Facebook what you want to do is, you want to always try to post more pictures. Ok if you don&#8217;t have pictures of yourself, if you can&#8217;t take pictures of your business or something like that, Google Images. Just go to Google and search for images on something relating to your niche that your audience would like is a great option to get the ball rolling.</p>
<p>Eventually you do want to take your own pictures, because it&#8217;s your brand. But that&#8217;s a great way to get the ball rolling.</p>
<h2>Facebook to Your Website</h2>
<p>And my last concept for Facebook marketing for beginners is &#8220;Facebook to your website&#8221;. Now I wanted to do this really simple so you could understand it. Now what this arrow means is Facebook is not the end goal.</p>
<p>Okay now I have personally made sales on Facebook. People have reached out to me through the messaging feature on Facebook and they have bought for me that way. But ideally most of your sales and product you know the money you&#8217;re gonna be making is on a external website.</p>
<p>This may be a blog, this may be a sales page, this may be an email list. It&#8217;s somewhere off of Facebook. So you wanna be getting people from Facebook to a external website that they can further along towards that goal and then eventually buy from you.</p>
<p>So to wrap it up because I want to keep this video relatively short, I don&#8217;t overwhelm you, but I want to keep this really simple so you can start going out there and really start seeing results fast.</p>
<p>The first thing you have to remember is traffic equals engagement on Facebook. The more likes, comments and shares you&#8217;re getting more traffic you&#8217;re getting.</p>
<p>Now that traffic can be increased simply by posting more pictures. 53 percent more engagement you can be getting if you just add a picture to your post</p>
<p>And number three is once you&#8217;re getting more engagement, more traffic you want to start to get these people off of Facebook on your website. And you can do that by sharing links and stuff like that. Now it&#8217;s important not to spam, but it is important to a good ratio.</p>
<p>that&#8217;s all for this video I hope you enjoyed learning these three concepts and now you&#8217;re better equipped to start going out there and hopefully you feel more like you understand it. Y&#8217;know I remember back when I first started, I wish someone would have given me these concepts because I wouldn&#8217;t have spun my wheels for so long.</p>
